One-off hardware you own, with one optional recurring item

SensorDataFabrics is built on Beckhoff industrial PCs that you purchase outright. We don't sell a per-asset subscription, a per-channel licence, or a closed cloud. The only item that recurs is the optional cloud dashboard, and only if you opt in.

Beckhoff AutomationOfficial ecosystem hardware

Backed by Beckhoff, not by us alone

Every SensorDataFabrics node runs on a standard Beckhoff industrial PC — CX9240 to C6030 — with TwinCAT and EtherCAT underneath. If we disappeared tomorrow, your hardware, spares and support contracts would still come from a global automation vendor you can already buy from.

What drives the cost of a deployment

Every site is different. The configurator on the home page and inside Get Started walks through the inputs that change the final number.

System

Wired EtherCAT and wireless LoRaWAN architectures are sized and priced differently. Pick the architecture that matches your cabling reality.

Sensor & interface mix

IEPE vibration, PT100 temperature, 4–20 mA, and custom signals all consume different acquisition hardware. Custom signals route to engineering review.

Wired distance & RPM

EtherCAT daisy-chains machine to machine on one cable. Backbone length plus per-sensor whips set the billed cable. RPM picks the right IEPE family.

Wireless node count

Each combined sensor and each custom bridge consumes one gateway-capacity slot. Gateways are added in fixed batches.

Edge compute tier

Channel count and DSP / AI add-ons move the recommended IPC up the Beckhoff ladder. The same software runs on every tier.

Cloud choice

Each sensor that exports to the cloud dashboard is the only line that recurs. The local edge database and northbound protocols are always included.

Ownership model

No subscriptions, no per-asset licence, no tiered feature gating. The same software runs on every IPC.

What you buy once

  • · Beckhoff IPC(s) sized for your wired and wireless channel count
  • · EtherCAT fieldbus hardware (couplers, terminators, PSU)
  • · Acquisition cards for IEPE / PT100 / 4–20 mA / voltage signals
  • · Sensors, magnetic mounts, M12 connectors, glands
  • · Cable, cable tray, and outdoor or drag-chain variants where needed
  • · Wireless nodes, bridges, and gateways for non-EtherCAT sites

What you can opt into

  • · Optional cloud fleet dashboard (per sensor / year, on a quote)
  • · Extended support contracts for sites that need them
  • · On-site commissioning, training, and custom integration

Every quote is a technical RFQ validated by engineering before money changes hands.

How quotes work

Three steps. No fake prices in marketing copy, no online checkout.

  1. Step 1

    Configure your fleet

Use the wired or wireless configurator. State stays in your browser; nothing leaves until you submit.

  2. Step 2

    Submit a technical RFQ

We receive a versioned JSON event with your machines, sensors, BOM, and contact. We do not store a public price tag.

  3. Step 3

    Engineering reviews

Engineering validates compatibility, custom signals, and cable routing. They reply with a formal quote, an estimate, or follow-up questions.

Get a tailored number

Walk through the wired or wireless configurator. We turn your machines, sensors, and (for wired) cable layout into a non-binding technical RFQ. Engineering validates it before any formal quote.

EtherCAT millisecond control where you need wires. LoRaWAN miles of range where you don't.
